Product Rotation {Shower}

I feel like I can get a little bored with my products and tend to keep waaayyyy more in the bathroom than I actually need.  I have been in spring cleaning mode on the weekends and really tried to scale back to just the necessities.

Dry brush.  I have an inexpensive drugstore brush and do my best to use it a few times a week.  I always seem to remember after I am already wet.  Dry brushing has tons of benefits and is a nice shower pre-treatment when I can remember.

I am not not too picky on my sugar scrubs.  I tend to favor a more gritty scrub and use this about once a week, more during summer.  One of my favorites was a cocoa scrub I got at Publix.  It was super cheap and smelled fantastic.

I use the GK silver shampoo once a week.  It's great for keeping blonde hair from getting brassy tones.  It tends to be drying though so be sure to use conditioner.

I have been with Living Proof full shampoo for several months and still love it.

The salon I go to carries Kerastase exclusively so I rotate that brand in and out.  It's on the pricey side but it lasts a long time and smells nice.  This conditioner is good for adding some density.

I read in a magazine this razor was one of the best and I have to agree,  I've been using this prob a year and it is an amazingly close shave.  The knees and ankle/heels can be a little tricky but I have never cut myself with this.

I never got into liquid soap.  It's all my husband uses but I still favor the bar.

I have had my Clarisonic at least five years, maybe six.  I use it almost every day and love, love, love the results.  It's an investment but so worth it.

I use a good cleanser every day and an exfoliator several times weekly.  This micro magic from Bliss is amazing.  It leaves your face so soft.

Wow, that's a lt of stuff for my scaled-back shower tidy up.  :)  Hey, a girl's gotta have her products.

Everyday make-up for brown eyes

I am loving these cooler temps (finally) but am really missing my summer glow.  I feel so pale right now.  I just picked up the new Naked3 and so far, I love it.  There are a couple colors that are heavy on the glitter but there are plenty of options that are good to go.  The far right colors are similar to Naked2 but all the new ones give even more options than before.

Here are my go-to choices for late winter.

Favorite shower products of the moment

Favorite Shower Products

OMG! I am a product junkie!  Goodness.  I hope I am not the only lady that has her shower stocked up.  Sadly, I have even more than this in the shower but this covers most of the good stuff.

1.  Kerastase is my go-to for shampoo and conditioner.  I didn't realize I had three different lines but I really love them all.  The green color packaging is for volume.  I tend to rotate what I am using each day but this is good for a little fluff.

2.  This is probably my fave from Kerastase.  It's ivory packaging is their line to increase density.  The conditioner goes a long way and gives my hair a little more bulk.  It smells great too.

3.  The purple line was recommended for strengthening.  It's good but makes my fine hair soft.  It's not weighed down but lacks in volume.

4.  Ahhhhh, this cheapie is my Sunday fave.  After a week of working, soccer and racing, this shampoo is great for a deep cleanse.  Once I am clean, I throw on this violet shampoo to help keep the brassy tones away.

5.  I picked this conditioner up at Target on a whim.  It is really great for a light conditioning without weighing my baby fine strands down.  Just a touch goes a long way.

6.  Clarisonic's prickly pear body scrub is the best.  It smells great and is soothing yet a great exfoliator.  It's a little hard to find for some reason but worth the hunt.  (Saks is my go to)

7.  My trusty Clarisonic has been in my shower for probably five years.  I don't replace my scrubber attachments as much as I probably should but this is a for sure go to keeper in the shower.

8.  Their face wash is pretty good.  Nothing super special but it does go on smooth and washes away clean and soft.  I prefer exfoliators but this is good if you are looking for a nice wash with no abrasive feeling.  I also use this face wash from Image that I get from my medi-spa.

9.  This is a recent find and it's a good one.  It's reasonably priced and does a great job.

10.Sugar scrubs are a must.  I am not too picky on brands.  I will grab some at the grocery store if I see something I like.  I also love to peek in TJ Maxx when I stop by.  They have nicer brands and they are prob $6-$8.00.

11.I don't know how I did it, but I grabbed these refills instead of my normal ones.  (btw...has anyone noticed how ridiculously priced razors are?!!)  I had to go back and buy the razor too but it has worked out.  This brand has several blades and are good for tricky areas like knees and ankles.

Alrighty, I am exhausted!  I really cannot believe I have all this stuff (plus a little more) in my shower.  Sadly, I have just as much on my counter and in my vanity drawers.  Sorry, not sorry.  :)

Hope you are off to a great week.  The weekend is almost here!

What I thought about what I bought - Cosmetics

What I thought about what I bought - Cosmetics

1. The Body Shop - Honey Bronze:  I like this.  I have only used it twice so I am still learning how to use it best, but so far, so good.  It's labeled as a dry oil but it's a liquid product.  There is a very small hole in the lid and you have to shake out the product like ketchup from a jar but once you get the hang of it, it comes right out.

2. Bliss - Mattifying Pads:  Another good product.  This is a great oil remover but doesn't leave your face feeling tight.  It's also got a little texture so it helps give a deep clean.

3.  Cover FX - Mattifying primer:  This is pretty good.  It goes on clear and feels light and does a fairly good job as a mattifier.

4. NARS - Bronzer/blush combo:  I bought this in the impulse section of Sephora while I was waiting to check-out and love it.  The blush is their famous Orgasm color and it's a little brighter than what I was using but is great for summer when I have a tan.  I bought the mini-size to try it out but it's a little tricky with them being so small.  If you can use a little bronze/blush refresher, I'd recommend this but go ahead and invest in the normal size.  Sephora is great about returning products if you don't like them.

5.  Living Proof - Amplifier:  I am so sad to give this a thumbs down.  I was in Ulta looking for my normal hair powder/texturizer and saw this so I decided to try it.  My hair is short and fine so I need some help with volume.  This product has the consistency of a light lotion and the directions say to rub in your hands until it's transparent and then apply it.  It smells nice and didn't leave any greasy residue but also wasn't helpful for volume.  I tried it three times to be sure but unfortunately, it's not a good fit for my hair.

What are your favorite products of the moment?  Don't forget the sunscreen!

Brown eyed girl: Eye shadow picks for brunettes

My daily eye shadow for work is minimal.  Working outside several days a week in 100% humidity can be a challenge.  I keep make-up to just the basics and waterproof (humidity proof) mascara is a must.  These are my current picks.
What are your current faves?  Any tricks for keeping make-up on in hot conditions?
