4th of July Picture Tips

The holiday weekend is almost here and it couldn't come at a better time.  This is always a great holiday of everyone coming together and with all the news in Orlando, that patriotic feeling is sure to bring everyone together more than ever.

If you plan to get out with the fam, it's so fun to snap some photos but dang, they almost never come out right.  Mine were always blurry or terribly timed until I learned a little trick last year.....longer shutter speeds.  

It's really easy with a traditional camera and there are also some great cell phone apps for pics on the go.  Here are a few I had from last year that I made with a sparkler.

Weekend Rewind: Family Filled

Hey y'all!  I hope you had a super weekend.  We got to hang with the fam and it was great.  

My sweet little nieces are were in surf camp last week.  They are so brave.  I was raised just minutes from Cocoa Beach and I stay out of that water.  If I can't see the bottom, you'll find me on shore. 

Saturday we woke up early and headed to watch Payton at her wakeboard competition.  She is my hero.  She is one of the sweetest kids, has good grades in school and is so humble with all that she does.  I am nervous for her going out to compete but she handles it like a champ.

We also managed to pack it an evening get together with my soccer team and immediate family to celebrate our baby on the way.  Sadly, I didn't get any pictures but we had the best time visiting with everyone.

Preparing for Baby - Travel Essentials

Oh my goodness....the time is almost here for this first-time mom.  I hit 37 weeks a few days ago and it finally set in, we are at the finish line.  I have been reading every.single.review for every product and wanted to share what we have so far.

My husband assembled the stroller and was amazed at how quickly he had it done.  He can tend to be impatient on projects like this but had it put together in no time.  We are trying to stick with just essentials, versus every possible item so for taking the new little one out and about, here's what we ended up getting.

Weekend Rewind: Soccer, Wakeboarding, Sunburned!

Hey friends.  Hope you had a super weekend.  Our soccer season is over but our ladies hopped into a tournament and O...M...G....I forgot what it's like to spend the ENTIRE day at the field playing back-to-back games.  We were there from 8:15-3:45 and it was so hot.  It was about 90 degrees most of the day.  I also forgot about those lovely soccer field tan lines.  They are earned, not given. haha

On a less whiny note, the girls got some amazing bonding time they are sure to remember as they get older.  They did each other's hair, made lunch for each other, and told some of the funniest stories.  As a bonus, we made it to the finals and WON the tournament!  

 

My niece did some wake boarding and my sis sent me some of the pictures.  She is such a special young lady.  She does great in school and has no fear pushing herself to try new things.  

Sunday afternoon I snuck in a nap and my husband and I took a walk thru the neighborhood just before sunset.  We left phones at home and it was just us on a Sunday stroll.  We have to do it more often.  Hope y'all are off to a great week.  I am ready for the 3-day weekend! 

New fave shampoo

Do you follow MintArrow on Insta?  She recently posted a pic and her hair was SO SHINY.  She had tons of comments on it and shared her little secret.  Drugstore shampoo.  Is.It.Possible?  I had to run out and grab it myself and have been using for the last few days.

I have fine hair so I have to be careful with conditioners but I have a lot of blonde in my hair so I need something to keep it looking healthy.  Just the name OIL scared me but......

It's legit, peeps!  Go getcha some.

Hey y'all!  We had such a nice weekend.  I got my first bit of summer (farmer's) tan at the soccer fields and had a weekend of rest between games.  Our regular season is over and except for a couple tournaments we are done until the kids go back to school.  We had trophy and memory books to handout and got a few last pics before the little ladies sprout up over the summer.

Coaching is so rewarding and these young ladies have stolen my heart.  Here are a few pics from our last couple days.  Hope you are off to a great week  We have tons of rain coming our way. Cheers!
