Weekend Rewind: Atlantis - Paradise Island

I am back from a really fun weekend.  I actually got back Sunday afternoon but was so tired that I came home and crashed.  We had a sales contest at work and I was able to fly to Atlantis for the weekend with the crew.  Unfortunately, it rained until our last day but we still had a great time.

We explored all around the resort, did some gambling, some relaxing and had a really fun time.
Here are some pictures from the trip.  We were constantly getting rained on so excuse our messy hair.

Dinner at Seafire

Our visit to the straw market to pick up gifts
We hit up the straw market and took a (few hours) break at Senor Frogs.  It was raining when we left but we were all smiles

We caught the Junkanoo parade thru Marina Village outside our hotel

Headed to dinner.  We went to Seafire for some delicious steaks on our first night

We hit the slides and lazy river on Sunday afternoon

Thanksgiving Centerpeices & Table Setting Tips

The most delicious week of the year is here!  My sis, Holly is hosting Thanksgiving this year and has gone above and beyond to plan for our family feast.  I plan to help with the table settings and was looking online for inspiration.  There will be 20+ people in attendance so my sister had some outdoor seating built for us to use.  The rustic table and benches each hold about 12 people.  I cannot wait to see the finished product.
Here are some table settings that would work perfectly.  A little rustic, mixed with natural and playful touches.  I will probably end up combining a couple looks.  It seems like these types of things just end up coming together once you get started.  Here are some of my favorite looks for the occasion.

Photo Book Season

It's hard to believe the end of the year is almost here.  It's also the official start of photo book season.
A friend introduced them to me years ago and they really are hard to beat.  My family has come to expect a book annually and I have made every effort to capture vacations too.

I was starting to work on my family book and realized that I had enough from our most recent soccer season to do a little something special for the kiddos.  I left the last page blank so they could do autographs for each other.  Shutterfly happened to be having a great sale so I ordered them right away.  If you have yet to start documenting memories in this fun way, now is a great time to try!

Take a peek at mine and see what you think.

Photo books are the perfect gift for any occasion.

Another weekend in the books

I was so happy to be in town for the weekend.  I love to travel out of town, don't get me wrong...but it is so nice to be home on Sunday to catch up on stuff around the house and get ready for the week.
Simon is out of town this weekend, visiting his best friend (and best man in our wedding) Jarrod in Atlanta so the pups and I had the house to ourselves.

Friday night, my twin nieces had their first talent show.  It was the 10th annual show for their elementary school and it was too cute.  My sister made them matching gowns and they sang a song on stage.  Being in kindergarten, that is a brave move to get up on a big stage and sing in front of a couple hundred people.  So proud of them.

Saturday, we had our last soccer games and raced in the afternoon.  I was home by 7:00 Saturday night and had a relaxing Sunday.  I have a short week ahead, I am on a work trip out of town for the weekend...Atlantis, here we come!  Have a super week friends.

Dressing Denim: 5 fall looks

Oh, how I love fall fashion.  Layers, cozy scarves and blazers. Love it!  I found some pretty outfits to spruce up denim looks.
I love this tweed, stripes, leo look.  So cute with the pattern mix.  Looks so cozy.

Wellies, chambray shirt (summer remix), vest and monogram necklace make this super casual look work for running errands and lunch dates.

I just posted here on this adorable fall look.  I have yet to slide into tall boots this season, but I am ready.
Another stripes, leo, cozy scarf plus cute trench look.  Love this.

Another casual look but a blazer and scarf pull it together.  Denim is so easy and these extra pieces help give it a little more polish.

What are your go to looks for fall?  It's still mild here in Central Florida but in another month, it should be cool enough to really start putting my new fall pieces to work.  Can't wait!  Have a super weekend!!

6 kids and counting

So school was closed yesterday and I have lots of vacation time to burn before the year is out so I scooped up the kids for 24-hours and Simon and I went all out.  Monday night we had dinner and fro yo, Tuesday morning Uncle Simon whipped up a huge breakfast and we went to a local fun park for the afternoon.  Here are some of the favorite moments from the whirlwind trip.
