Suiting up for Spring

I hate to admit this but I am loving these cooler temps.  I live in Central Florida and it just doesn't get cold here.  I love scarves and layers and this weather is perfect for it.
However, I have no doubt that wearing a dress REQUIRES some bronzing lotion.  These legs are pale.  So, for that part, I am ready for Spring.

I am seeing the cutest suits this season and am loving the tops with extra detail.  I haven't tried a new swimsuit like this before but am feeling brave (browsing online anyways) and am feeling the urge to spruce up my swim style.

Hope you are off to a great week.  I am feeling so good after taking off a couple days last week.  I am excited to get through these next couple days and relax this weekend.

I spy end of summer sales

Oh my goodness, my inbox is totally packed with sale announcements.  I have been so busy that I haven't had much time to peek but I have picked up a few deals, too good to miss.

I grabbed some towels from J.Crew.  As you can see, these are very genorously sized towels and they are really soft.  I didn't see these exact ones online now but there are options <HERE> and <HERE>

We still have lots of warm temps in Florida, so I grabbed some new MK sandals.  I have a couple pairs and they are so comfy and have worn really well.  Check out a few colors <HERE> and <HERE>

I don't own many cropped bottoms but I got these from Banana Republic and they have been good for days I don't want to wear shorts.  They are cute with flats and sandals.  

C.Wonder has been having sales all summer.  Their home section has a huge selection of everything you need for hosting friends for cocktails.  We got this adorable lobster bottle opener on our last visit.

1. Michael Kors heels: These are GREAT.  Really.  I first bought the black and went back for the snakeskin.  The are really comfy all day long.  The heel is a little lower than I realized when I ordered them but the comfort you get wearing them is worth it.  For me, they are best with ankle length pants or dresses and skirts since my pants are tailored for a higher heel.

2. Tazo Passion Fruit Tea:  This is great hot or cold.  I love hot tea and was craving something a little lighter as we get into spring.  I drank enough chai and cocoa through the cool months.

3.  Ann Taylor Loft Julie Skinny pants:  These new pants are so cute.  I don't have the body for super skinny and I don't like bootleg so these are a good alternative.  I put these on to show my husband but he thought they were a little too sexy for work.  I was so bummed.  I knew they were fitted but I thought they looked so good. I have decided to take his advice for now and save them for a day when I have an after-work cocktail hour to attend.

4.  C.Wonder iPhone 5s battery extender:  Another great buy.  I got this during one of their 50% off sales and it is great.  My husband just asked me to order him one too.  I don't plan to use this everyday but on those occasions I will be away from my charger for an extended period of time (think weekend adventures) it will be perfect.  I just used it during Spring Break and it took my phone from 20% to 85%.

5.  C.Wonder sweater:  I didn't love this.  I liked the idea of the built-in, removable collar but it needs a little more structure.  It also got pilled easily.  Maybe during cooler months when you can layer up a tank or cami, this would work.  I thought it would be a good spring transition but it's too warm to layer, here in Florida.  Although this brand has a lot of looks I love, I probably wouldn't buy this sweater again.

Work kicks

I am on the go at work and comfort is a must.  A few neutrals that I can wear daily work best.  I wear a lot of Michael Kors but the Calvin Klein peeptoes were my first from the brand.  All three are super comfy and work well with most of my outfits.  What are you daily go-to shoes?

Wednesday Wishlist: Accessories

This week we will finally have a couple cool days and I am ready for more!  Gray bags are so trendy right now and I found this great one from Michael Kors, it's the perfect winter shade.  I love scarves, especially chunky knit ones like these and what better way to accessorize than stack, stack, stack.  These bracelets would be perfect for stacking or worn by themselves.  Lastly, these adorable initial earrings are too cute not to wish for.

Fall Faves: Summer to Fall Crossbody bags

It's cooler outside and that means lots of fall outings.  The crossbody bag is the perfect way to stroll around without the hassle of a handbag.  Although I wear mostly neutrals, I came across some bags that are the perfect size to add a pop of color.
I use to think that a dressy handbag should be saved for special outfits, but today it seems jeans and a white tee make the perfect back-drop for a fancy bag.
If you are new to crossbody bags, I have personally found that a flat back that is somewhat thin (more envelope shaped, rather than box shaped) is especially comfortable to carry.  Which of these looks is your favorite?
