Five Favorite Moisturizers

It's FRIDAY!  So exciting.  I have been super busy this week but wanted to hop online real quick and escape the craziness for a few.
With the cooler temps in the air, a good moisturizer is key.  I am a product junkie and realized I have lip gloss and moisturizer every spot I sit.  Seriously.  Here'e what I keep in my go to spots.

This baby lotion is my after-shower pick.  I love the honey apple scent.  It is so cheap and it dries quick.
The Jergens moisturizer with bronzer is great.  I actually mix 50/50 with the baby lotion on my legs and arms.  The old Jergens used to have a strong scent but no more.  It has a light scent and once I mix with the baby lotion, it's untraceable.

I like Crabtree & Evelyn and got this scent for Christmas.  Love it!  This is a little more heavy duty than the baby lotion so I keep it by my bed for just before bed.

If you've stayed in hotels, you know this lotion.  I order a couple bottles a year and keep this in the guest bathroom.  It has a nice scent and absorbs quickly.

Speaking of hotels, my purse relies on my out of town trips.  I snag the sample size lotions left by the sink and keep them for my purse.  It's the perfect size and is just right for a quick moisturizer, especially after using  a drying soap.

Speaking of, I have a couple trips coming up in February.  Can't wait to hit the road and have some fun!  I plan to hit up NC for a little snowboarding and am headed on a work trip to Pensacola for their Mardi Gras.  Have a super weekend!

8 Easy Super Bowl Party Recipes

I have a busy weekend planned and will be spending my last few hours with friends visiting our home for the Super Bowl.  I am planning my food and wanted to share some of my favorite pins.

Pasta salad is a go to.  Honestly, I usually do the box pasta and add some fresh ingredients.  Some of my favorites are green pepper, tomato and mozzarella cheese.  This mix calls for cucumbers too and I agree, they made a good pairing.

Cream cheese and sour cream are obvious choices for all things tasty.  This recipe has the bad stuff and some fresh stuff so you won't feel so bad enjoying it.

I have made this spicy sausage dip many times and the guys love it.  The ritz crackers are a perfect addition to the spicy dip..

Seven layer dip is always a winner.  I have never gone the extra mile to prepare it like this but I think it'd be a great touch.

I brought these to a friend's house last year and they were gone in an instant.  They are super easy to prepare and I totally under estimated how popular they'd be.

If this recipe doesn't say Super Bowl, nothing does.  It has all the tasty essentials and is a favorite go-to.  We will likely do some wings catered and this will go perfectly.

Hot & Spicy Taco pretzels would be great for bowls around the house.  We will have both TVs going and friends everywhere so a couple goodies that don't need heating would be great.

These homemade pizzas look go easy.  Using the Texas Toast is a great idea.  I haven't tried this recipe yet but I think it'd be great.

What are your SuperBowl plans?  I will need to make everything Sunday morning before I leave for my soccer games and my husband will be handling house cleaning while I am gone.  It'll be the perfect way to finish off the weekend.  Cheers!

Back from Vegas

I'm bbbaaaccckkkk!  Vegas was so much fun last week.  I flew out Monday morning and after the time change, I arrived about 10:00am.  My friends from work weren't arriving until the afternoon so I had the entire first day to myself.  I checked into my hotel and got out to explore.  Vegas is a little deceiving because everything looks so close but in reality, is so far away.

So, alas, after a couple hours of walking around I found myself sitting at the casino trying my hand at some three-card poker.  I just learned to play a couple months ago on a trip to Atlantis so after a brief refresher, I was ready to play.  I felt a little down on myself gambling in the morning, by myself, but hey...what's a girl to do.

Once my group arrived we were ready to rock-n-roll.  We had some great dinners, sat in on some meetings, did some networking and a little more exploring.  I learned how to play Blackjack and ended up coming home with a little more cash than I left with.  After a long day in the air, I arrived back in Orlando on Thursday night.

I really thought I'd be drained on Friday but I popped up at 6:30 and went in to work feeling great.

Saturday morning we had a soccer tournament.  It was cold, rainy, muddy and windy.  All things terrible for outdoor sports.  My little girls rallied thru and played their hearts out.  We finished second and third and achieved our main goal, to get a special invitation to the National Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports.  Woo Hoo!  So exciting.  It's an invite only tournament and we've been working hard to finish in the top three to ensure our invite.

Sunday we finally did some relaxing.  My husband went to Bass Pro with his buddies so I took my dog, Isabella to the local art show.  The weather was perfect for a little afternoon stroll.

I am back to work this week and have another tournament this weekend.  I also started another round of BBL yesterday so I will document it this week.  I had treatments done last year and was happy with the results.  Hope you're off to a great week!

Weekend Rewind: Racing ------> Vegas!

I have been on.the.go.  Work is super busy and my racing, sister and coaching duties have been in full effect.
My Dad and I raced out of town over the weekend.  We left when I got off work and didn't get back home until early Sunday morning.  I was beat yesterday after 18+ hours at the track on Saturday.  The photographer at the track also works at the Daytona International Speedway and snapped some pictures when we raced there last month.  I was dreading the one with my Dad because we had been at the track allllll day and I was hot, sweating and nasty.  I am glad I didn't fuss too much though, it turned out to be a good picture that he was so excited to get.

I am keeping it short cause I am packing for VEGAS!  I have a work trip Monday - Wednesday and fly home Thursday morning.  We are in town for the International Builders Show.  This will be my second trip there and I am excited.  It's going to be a high of 60s so I am packing scarves and layers.
I arrive about five hours ahead of the rest of the group so I am planning to get out and explore before they land.  We will be doing lots of networking and dinners and I am planning to hit some education classes too.

Hope ya'll have a super week.  I'll check in once I get back in town.

Favorite shower products of the moment

Favorite Shower Products

OMG! I am a product junkie!  Goodness.  I hope I am not the only lady that has her shower stocked up.  Sadly, I have even more than this in the shower but this covers most of the good stuff.

1.  Kerastase is my go-to for shampoo and conditioner.  I didn't realize I had three different lines but I really love them all.  The green color packaging is for volume.  I tend to rotate what I am using each day but this is good for a little fluff.

2.  This is probably my fave from Kerastase.  It's ivory packaging is their line to increase density.  The conditioner goes a long way and gives my hair a little more bulk.  It smells great too.

3.  The purple line was recommended for strengthening.  It's good but makes my fine hair soft.  It's not weighed down but lacks in volume.

4.  Ahhhhh, this cheapie is my Sunday fave.  After a week of working, soccer and racing, this shampoo is great for a deep cleanse.  Once I am clean, I throw on this violet shampoo to help keep the brassy tones away.

5.  I picked this conditioner up at Target on a whim.  It is really great for a light conditioning without weighing my baby fine strands down.  Just a touch goes a long way.

6.  Clarisonic's prickly pear body scrub is the best.  It smells great and is soothing yet a great exfoliator.  It's a little hard to find for some reason but worth the hunt.  (Saks is my go to)

7.  My trusty Clarisonic has been in my shower for probably five years.  I don't replace my scrubber attachments as much as I probably should but this is a for sure go to keeper in the shower.

8.  Their face wash is pretty good.  Nothing super special but it does go on smooth and washes away clean and soft.  I prefer exfoliators but this is good if you are looking for a nice wash with no abrasive feeling.  I also use this face wash from Image that I get from my medi-spa.

9.  This is a recent find and it's a good one.  It's reasonably priced and does a great job.

10.Sugar scrubs are a must.  I am not too picky on brands.  I will grab some at the grocery store if I see something I like.  I also love to peek in TJ Maxx when I stop by.  They have nicer brands and they are prob $6-$8.00.

11.I don't know how I did it, but I grabbed these refills instead of my normal ones.  (btw...has anyone noticed how ridiculously priced razors are?!!)  I had to go back and buy the razor too but it has worked out.  This brand has several blades and are good for tricky areas like knees and ankles.

Alrighty, I am exhausted!  I really cannot believe I have all this stuff (plus a little more) in my shower.  Sadly, I have just as much on my counter and in my vanity drawers.  Sorry, not sorry.  :)

Hope you are off to a great week.  The weekend is almost here!

Weekend visit to Silver Horseshoe Ranch

Another week in the books.  We had a relaxing weekend, one of the last planned for the next month or so.  We went to a friend's property for a Saturday afternoon get together and it is too cute not to share.  Our friends don't live on the property but it has been in their family as a farm/horse stable and after their father passed, they converted the horse barn to a little party spot.  Take a peek.
Their property is located in Merritt Island, near Kennedy Space Center and just minutes from where I grew up.

This is the horse barn, converted to party pad.

Running water on the property is at this adorable outhouse
Outdoor bar with kegs
This cabin is perfect for sleepovers

Two relaxing weekends in a row to start the new year and now I am off to a super busy schedule for the next four or five weeks.  Work travels, soccer tournaments and racing all up on deck.
Hope you have a super week!
